- (1) One credit of Bible is required
each year a student is enrolled at SCS.
No specific number of Bible credits is
required for graduation but the total of
29 credits must be accumulated.
- (2) South Carolina requires only one
social studies credit in addition to
U.S. History and Government/Economics.
SCS requires two, World History and
Geography.
- (3) Diploma
requirements in science are Physical
Science, Biology, Chemistry, and
Physics.
- (4) Diploma
requirements for mathematics are Algebra
I, Geometry, Algebra II, and
Pre-Calculus. Students may take business
math instead of Pre-Calculus if they are
not in the Honors Program.
- (5) The one credit for physical
education is earned in the eighth grade
at Sumter Christian School.
A senior who lacks only one credit may
participate in commencement exercises but
does not receive a diploma until the
deficiency is satisfied. Transcripts reflect
deficiencies. |
