Financial Information for 2008-09

Matriculation

This reservation fee is due upon enrollment. It reserves your child's space for the year and covers processing costs. The fee is $50 for all students (K3 through 12th grade).

Registration (due June 10 or upon enrollment if after June 10)

This charge covers achievement testing, library acquisitions, furniture, equipment (instructional and playground), summer maintenance, and membership in the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) and American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). These organizations provide legal oversight, certification for our teachers, and accreditation for the school.

The fee is $150 per student for K3 and K4.  The fee is $210 per student for kindergarten and grades 1-12. A statement of your account will be sent in May as a reminder for the registration fee.

Tuition

The tuition, usually paid in 11 payments July through May, pays for faculty and staff salaries and benefits and the daily operation of the school. The annual cost of tuition is as follows:

K3 $2,354 ($214 per month, July through May)
K4 $2,222 ($202 per month, July through May)
K5-6th Grade $2,915 ($265 per month, July through May)
Grades 7-12 $3,047 ($277 per month, July through May)

If a student enrolls after July, the number of monthly payments will be adjusted accordingly. In June we mail a statement of your account, which will reflect any multi-family discounts and serve as an invoice for the first installment. Tuition payments are due on the first of the month; a late fee of $20 is assessed after the tenth. Payments made after May 10 for any past due charges incurred prior to May must be paid by cash, money order, VISA, or MasterCard. Personal checks are accepted after May 10 for charges incurred in May.

Book Fees

The prices for workbooks are published by June 1. Book fees must be paid by the first day of school since we cannot distribute books until they are purchased. Prepaying these during the summer will help avoid waiting in line during Open House. Please see the page titled "Workbook and Class Fees" for the most current listing of these costs.

Other Fees

Class fees for courses such as physics, chemistry, and keyboarding are due before the first day of school. P.E. uniforms must be purchased before the first day of classes. Sports fees ($45 per varsity sport and $35 per JV sport) are due before the first game of the season. A graduation fee ($40) is due for all seniors and kindergartners ($17.50) before their day of graduation. Returned checks incur a $30 fee. A withdrawal fee of $50 will be charged if a student withdraws after the first day of school. Students in K3, K4, and K5 pay a $40 supply fee, which covers supplies such as crayons, pencils, glue, construction paper, scissors, school box, tissues, etc. for the entire year.

Discounts

Two students in the same family living at the same address and being billed as one account receive a 5% discount on the annual tuition; three receive 15%; four or more receive 25%. There is no discount on the matriculation and registration fees. A 3% discount is given on the annual tuition if it is paid in full with cash or check before the first day of school.

Refunds

Matriculation and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Workbook fees are refundable if the books are totally unused. Unused tuition is refundable and is calculated by prorating the daily rate of tuition (based on 180 days).

Past Dues

Students whose accounts are thirty days in arrears may not attend class. All records and report cards are withheld until tuition costs, library fines, Day Care, lunch charges, and all other school fees are paid in full. Students may not attend the first day of school unless the account is current.
